Come join us for our True life Eagle hunting tour. We would fly in to Ulgii town in western Mongolia and meet our local kazakh crew who would serve you for coming 6 days. We would visit and stay with this mountain nomad eagle hunter families to observe, to experience the nomad way of life as well as eagle hunting safari! We would accompany these mountain nomads on their hunts, on foot and by SUVs. Day 1 - Fly in to Ulgii and visit Eagle hunter family
Get picked up from your accommodation in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to airport to fly out to Ulgii town in Western Mongolia (Approx: 1750km). it is going to be a 3 hours flight from Ub. You would meet our local crew at Ulgii airport and will drive out to Tolbo village to visit a nomad eagle hunter family. We would stay with this family - in a wooden hat.
Day 2 - Visiting different eagle hunter families in the area
After a big western style breakfast we would visit some more eagle hunters in the area, to learn, to experience and photograph this fascinating mountain nomads with their traditional costumes. You would have a special up close touch to this fascinating mountain nomad culture. There would be much more things such as eagle training, petroglyphs, local music. We would stay with nomad eagle hunter family.
Day 3 - Horse trekking
Are you ready for another adventurous day? Mongolian horses are easier to manage. After a short riding instruction we would saddle up the horses and would ride towards west through Usigen mountains to another wonderful eagle hunter family. We would have trail side pack lunch on the way. You would love this best experience on riding tiny Mongolian horses, except the sour on your ass. 😉 oops
Day 4 - TRUE LIFE EAGLE HUNTING
We would get on back of a horse or may be we might have to drive to the destination where we hunt. We would join to 5 local eagle hunters and 4 beaters to hunt foxes. It is going to be the most amazing part of the trip to experience the real life eagle hunting. By end of the day we would stay with a family in Tolbo town center.
Day 5 - Cultural day
Depending on group size we would organize mini horse games competition among these local community and then we would move forward to Buyant village to visit one of the well known throat singers of Bayan Ulgii. We would have lunch in a great spot by lake Tolbo and will drive further to Ulgii. Tonight you would have the opportunity to have HOT SHOWER. 🙂 Stay at hotel.
Day 6 - Ice fishing
It not just a ice fishing, though. We would have another incredible day on ice fishing. We would drive to Achit Lake for fishing. It is an 2 hours of beautiful drive from Ulgii. Most common fish on these lakes are the graylings. We have some more interesting activities that are not written here! We would celebrate the tour - farewell dinner! Stay at hotel.
DAY 7 - Flight to Ulaanbaatar
You would get transferred to Ulgii airport and will fly out to Ulaanbaatar. Our drive would drop you at your accommodation!
