ICE FESTIVAL MONGOLIA WINTER FESTIVALS

The "Blue Pearl" Ice Festival is set to take place in Khatgal soum of Khuvsgul aimag on March 2 and 3, 2024. The Ice Festival is one of the noteworthy winter festivals contributing to the development of winter tourism in Mongolia. This fascinating ICE FESTIVAL has been held since year of 2000.

WINTER EAGLE FESTIVAL 2024

This spectacular Winter Eagle festival  takes place at Chinggisiin khuree touristic lodge near to capital Ulaanbaatar on 9th and 10th March 2024.  There are about 20 well known kazakh eagle hunters who came from Western Mongolia would attend this breathtaking festival.

Snow, desert and 2 humped camels, huh? Yes, it is unique to Mongolia!   Ride Bactrian camels in the middle of nowhere, on the snowy desert of Mongolia!

10000 CAMEL FESTIVAL is being held in the Mongolian gobi desert since 1997. It is being held to celebrate Mongolian 2 humped Bactrian camels and protect the species and pass the rich camel breeding heritage to the next generation. Spectacular competitions and games would take place for 2 days, including Camel Polo!  This breathtaking 10000 Camel Festival will be a good opportunity for the travelers to have up close experience with these steppe nomads and camels!

LUNAR NEW YEAR - TSAGAAN SAR - THE WHITE MOON

The White Moon festival is celebrated on the first through third days of the first lunar month. Tsagaan Sar is one of the most important Mongolian holidays. The main purpose is to celebrate beginning of a new year, visiting close families.

MONGOLIAN NATIONAL NAADAM FESTIVAL

Naadam is a traditional festival celebrated in Mongolia, Inner Mongolia and Tuva. The games are Mongolian wrestling, horse racing, and archery, and are held throughout the country during midsummer. Traditionally, the Naadam Festival symbolizes Mongolia's independence, sovereignty, national unity, statehood, history, culture, heritage, and customs. Therefore, Naadam is highly regulated even as it is celebrated throughout the country. Each of the 21 provinces of Mongolia organizes distinct Naadam festivals.
